Due to the curved shape of the earth the angles change slightly at different locations within the European pentagon. For example, the May day sunrise at Chartres is 113°26 ( exactly at 90° to the axis of the poles of the ecliptic), at Glastonbury 114°48 and at Barbera 110°34. However, the 30° angles and the geometry of the pattern remain unchanged.
